Practically, we want to:
- Encounter God through worship, prayer, and the study of Scripture (Love).
- Live in community with other followers of Christ (Grow)
- Help out in tangible ways both locally and globally using spiritual and physical means (Reach Out).
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, written by men who were moved by the Holy Spirit.
(John 14:26, John 16:12-15; 1 Corinthians 2:12-13; 2 Timothy 3:14-16; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Acts 1:16)
We believe that the Bible is inerrant in the original manuscripts and is the final authority for all matters of faith and conduct.
(Isaiah 40:8; Matthew 5:18, Matthew 24:35; Romans 15:4; Hebrews 4:12; Proverbs 30:5)
We believe in one God, who exists as a Trinity in three persons: the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (all three are equal in essence but distinct in person and function).
(Matthew 3:16,17; John 1:1, John 1:14, John 4:24; John 10:30, John 14:9, John 14:16-20, John 20:28; Genesis 1:2, Genesis 1:26; Deuteronomy 6:4; 1 Peter 1:2)
We believe in God the Father, the first person of the Trinity, Creator of all things, visible and invisible.
(Genesis 1:1; Acts 17:24-28; Hebrews 11:3)
We believe that in the Incarnation, the Son took on a human nature in addition to his divine nature without confusion, without change, without division, without separation.
(John 1:14, John 20:28; Colossians 1:15, Colossians 2:9; Hebrews 2:14, Hebrews 4:16, Hebrews 13:8; Philippians 2:6-8)
We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells and empowers every Christian; the Holy Spirit convicts of sin, brings comfort, provides guidance, gives spiritual gifts, and enables people to understand God’s Word.
(John 14:16-17, John 15:26, John 16:4-15; 1 Corinthians 1:2, 1 Corinthians 3:16, 1 Corinthians 6:19, 1 Corinthians 12:11; 2 Timothy 1:14; Acts 1:7-8; Romans 8:26-27; Ephesians 6:17-18)
We believe that mankind was meant to have fellowship with God, but through Adam and Eve’s disobedience, mankind rebelled against God and is now separated from him as a result of sin.
(Isaiah 59:2; Acts 4:12; Romans 3:23; Romans 5:12)
We believe that hell is a place that was made for Satan and his demons. However, people who reject Christ will be thrown into the Lake of Fire without another chance for repentance.
(Matthew 25:41; Luke 12:4-5; Hebrews 6:1-2, Hebrews 9:27; Revelation 19:20)
We believe that Jesus was crucified to pay for the sins of others, He was buried, and on the third day He resurrected in bodily form.
(1 John 3:8; Galatians 3:13; Colossians 2:14-15; Luke 23:44-24:8; John 20:24-29; 1 Corinthians 15:3-8)
We believe that salvation and forgiveness of sins is only received by grace through faith in Jesus Christ.
(Romans 5:17, Romans 8:11; Ephesians 2:8-9; 1 Peter 1:18-19; 1 John 1:7-9, 1 John 5:12-13; 2 Corinthians 5:17; John 3:3-5, John 3:16; Romans 10:9-10)
We believe that water baptism is an outward expression of the inward work of salvation.
(Romans 6:4-5; Matthew 28:19; Colossians 2:12)
We believe that Jesus was glorified, ascended into Heaven, and now sits at the right hand of the Father until the day He returns to earth to judge both the living and the dead.
(Luke 22:69; Acts 10:39-42; Colossians 3:1; Matthew 24:36-42; John 14:1-3; 1 Peter 4:5; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17)
We believe that the Church is a community of Christ-followers who are united by Christ, empowered by the Holy Spirit, and led by godly Spiritual leaders; the individuals who make up the church love each other, learn together, serve together, worship together, and live on mission together.
(Matthew 16:18; Acts 2:42-47; John 13:34-35; 1 Corinthians 12:12-27; Ephesians 2:19-22)
We believe that the primary purpose of the church is to love God, love others, and carry out the Great Commission until Christ returns.
(Matthew 22:36-40, Matthew 28:19-20; Mark 16:14-18; Luke 24:44-49; Acts 1:4-8; John 20:19-23)
We believe in a new heaven and new earth where believers will be free from sin, will live in renewed (resurrected) bodies, and enjoy God forever.
(Revelation 21:1-4; Isaiah 65:17, Isaiah 65:22; 2 Peter 3:10-13)
