Timothy Moroz was born in the Ukraine and moved to the U.S. when he was 6 years old. Growing in the Northeast Region of the U.S. he experienced a culture that was becoming more and more secular with churches closing their doors each year. Growing up in a home with faithful, believing parents, Tim understood the gospel at a young age but didn’t come to a point of personal faith and surrender until he was 14 years of age. At that point he realized that, in one way or another, he was headed for a life of ministry.
After graduating high school Tim attended Word of Life Bible Institute and spent the next four years working on his undergraduate degree while gaining a wide variety of ministry experiences. It was during this time that the Lord used his experiences in ministry to help hone in his calling to pastoral ministry. Upon realizing this Tim enrolled into seminary in order to further develop in his understanding of God’s word and the work of ministry. In 2011 Tim moved to Lynchburg, Va. to start his degree and soon after met his future wife, Brittannie.
Currently Tim is taking part in a 2-year residency with GCC designed to help him supplement his education with practical ministry experience, grow as a pastor, and prepare to plant a church. During this time he is able to learn from the pastors and elders at GCC as well as have them pour into his life and ministry. Our hope is that through this experience he will be better prepared to plant a church that is healthy and effective at making disciples in the Northeast.
