Local Outreach
At Gospel Community Church, we believe “reaching out with the love of Christ” means more than offering aid, it means building relationships rooted in dignity and trust. Through the Connecting Point, our main home-base for local outreach, we come alongside neighbors to share warm meals, stock cupboards, offer showers and clean laundry, and listen to their stories. Side by side we serve, learn from, advocate for, and celebrate one another so that every person experiences the belonging and hope Jesus intends. As we grow in these relationships, we pray the whole community flourishes and God’s Kingdom becomes visible in everyday life.
Connecting Point
Food Pantry
Our neighborhood is officially recognized as a food desert, meaning reliable access to fresh, affordable groceries is scarce. The Connecting Point’s client-choice pantry meets that gap while protecting dignity: neighbors choose the items their households actually enjoy and need. Every distribution begins with a hot, shared meal that turns a grocery trip into fellowship around the table.
Thanks to the generosity of Gospel Community Church, Blue Ridge Area Food Bank, and friends like you, we have already served more than 100 unique households in the first half of 2025 alone - and demand continues to grow.

Connecting Point Cafe
Wednesdays from 9am-11am
Every Wednesday and Sunday morning, the doors of the Connecting Point open not just for breakfast, but for belonging. Over hot coffee and a nutritious breakfast, neighbors and volunteers sit down at shared tables to talk, laugh, listen, and pray. For many, it’s more than a meal - it’s the most life-giving part of their week and many say it feels like 'family'.
Whether you love cooking for a crowd, offering a warm smile, or simply being present, you can help create this space of welcome. Some volunteers bring food. Others serve, clean up, or offer prayer. But all of us come to experience the beauty of a community shaped by dignity, presence, and the love of Christ.
Curious? Come one morning and see for yourself - or reach out to us via our Serve Form to get involved regularly.
