August in Review

We are thankful for all that God is doing at Gospel Community and want you to be part of it! Here’s a glimpse at some of our August events. And if you want to learn more about any of these opportunities, each ministry is linked!

Our missions team returned from Puerto Rico where they were able to serve and partner with Christian Family Church.

Team member Tanya said, “It’s amazing that as the Church, we can work together through our different cultures, and help one another and sharpen one another to be more like Christ.” Our Global Team has some more trips planned for late 2019 and early 2020; click here to learn more!

We celebrated a great night of food and fun with our neighborhood at the second Block Party of the summer.

Next up is the Fall Festival, so save the date for Halloween Night! Meanwhile, our Local Outreach team has opportunities to serve right now; click here to learn more!

To kickoff the “Who’s Your One? 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting,” we had a powerful Night of Prayer and Worship. This Sunday we’re concluding the 21 days of fasting with communion; we’re also hoping you will share stories with us of how God has worked in your life!
Our Lunch and Learn program ran from June to mid-August, helping children in our neighborhood every Monday through Friday; some days we saw 20 students come out for games, some review on school subjects, and lunch together.

The program has concluded for the summer, but we have opportunities to serve at The Connecting Point every month; click here to learn more.

In the middle of the month, we moved back to three services every Sunday and welcomed many of our college students back!
